Hoyt Shooters Steamroll the Competition at the European Indoor Championships

Hoyt Shooters Steamroll the Competition at the European Indoor ChampionshipsThe European Indoor Championships were filled with drama as the best shooters in Europe competed for gold.  In the end, Hoyt once again dominated the podiums and added to a rapidly growing number of major tournament wins.
In the compound men’s division, PJ Deloche (FRA) went up against Peter Elzinga (NED).  Shooting their Pro Comp Elites, they battled it out for gold in an amazing display of accuracy. Deloche was perfect, nailing the X every time in his quest for the top honors. Deloche’s victory was another big win which added to his already impressive resume and further cemented the dominating accuracy of the technologically advanced Hoyt bows.
During the team matches, Elzinga and Mike Schloesser (NED) got their revenge and won the gold medal, edging out the French team, all shooting their x-ring crushing Hoyt bows.
Ivana Buden (CRO) has been a top ranked European archer for many years but never managed to win the Indoor European Championship title. This year, with her Pro Comp Elite, she set the record straight and won her long-awaited title in the women’s compound division. After losing the first set she took control over the match and won the next 3 sets with a perfect score of all dead center X’s.
Hoyt Pro Staff shooters Rick van der Ven (NED) and Jean Charles Valladont (FRA) were the last two men standing in the recurve division. Both Formula HPX shooters battled until the end, winning sets back and forth. In the end,  van der Ven prevailed  winning the gold medal and the prestigious title of Recurve Male European Indoor Champion. Van der Ven’s Dutch teammate and fellow staff shooter, Sjef van den Berg, shot his all new Hoyt ION-X to win the bronze medal.
Van der Ven and his all-Hoyt Formula wielding team mates also took the team gold  for the recurve men. With two gold medals in the bag, Van der Ven was the most decorated athlete of the entire event.
Reigning world indoor champion Natalia Valeeva won the silver medal shooting her new ION-X in the women’s recurve division adding yet another prestigious medal to her illustrious collection
